Sweet Gracie will need a very special person to find her. We don’t know Gracie’s back story but we do know that when she came to us she was scared of everything and anything. She had a litter of beautiful babies and was an incredible mom to them. When she came to stay with us, her babies had all found homes and she needed somewhere to land. We are so grateful to have gotten to know and understand this incredibly beautiful girl. Gracie wants love and affection but she does not understand how to get it. She looks at you with questioning eyes that say I want your love, but finds it difficult to cross the barrier. Gracie has adjusted to living with us and when the timing is right, will come up to us for affection. Gracie has come such a long way and welcomes the pets and chin scratches now on her terms. She will flop over onto her side and reach out to touch your feet. She will rub her body under your hands and loves it. When it gets to be too much for her to understand, she will give a light bite to let you know she’s anxious. Gracie is scared of most other cats except kittens and could cohabitate with another cat that is calm and doesn’t wish to interact. Gracie is fine with cat savvy dogs. Gracie would not do well around children. She is a very clean girl with no bathroom issues. Gracie is very playful and enjoys playing with toys and getting the zoomies to run around. Gracie does enjoy eating plants so only pet safe plants can be around her! Her favourite treat is Churo’s and she’ll come running for them. This girl is so incredibly special and pulls at our heart strings. You can see the wish in her eyes to understand how to be a family cat and get the love she deserves. While we are fully committed and happy to having Gracie stay with us and progress, we know her special human is out there waiting for her. She’ll need extra time and patience in an understanding home for her to properly adjust and decompress, but we know she’ll come around and reward you with effort, silliness and charm. She is and will continue to grow into an enjoyable companion, evolving into a treasured family member.
