Emma is a sweet, laid-back girl estimated to be about 3 years old. She’s very much on the lazy side and enjoys a calm lifestyle. Often, she’s happiest simply laying on the floor, quietly taking in her surroundings.

Emma loves her food—especially wet food and tube treats, which are a great way to bond with her. Because she’s not very self-motivated to play, she relies on her humans to help keep her engaged. Interactive play with wand toys is her favorite way to get stimulated and is important for her mental and physical well-being.

While Emma is affectionate, she can become overstimulated easily, so she’s looking for cat-savvy humans who are attentive to her body language and respectful of her boundaries. Paying attention to Emma’s tell-tale signs is very important—she will often signal overstimulation with a twitching tail and lowered ears. When she’s had enough interaction, she may give a gentle swat or soft nip to communicate that she needs space.

Emma truly thrives when she has her own quiet, private space to retreat to when she’s feeling overwhelmed. A calm, low-traffic area will help her feel safe and secure in her home.

She would do best in a home with older children who understand and respect animal boundaries. Emma has not been tested with dogs. With slow, proper introductions, she has the potential to coexist well with other cats.
