Meet Tony, the Wonderfully Wobbly Whiskered Friend!
Hi there! My name is Tony, and I'm a special little lovebug with a unique way of moving through the world. I was born with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), often affectionately known as "wobbly cat syndrome."
About My Wobble:
My condition means that my cerebellum—the part of the brain that usually controls balance and coordination—didn't quite finish developing before I was born. This gives me a cute, uncoordinated gait, a little head bob when I'm excited, and an adorable tendency to sometimes tip over during zoomies!
The great news is that CH is not painful or contagious, and it doesn't get worse over time. I'm smart, happy, and have a normal life expectancy, just like any other cat.
My Personality:
I might be a little wobbly, but that doesn't slow down my spirit!
I’m just I am a:
* Playful explorer: I love chasing wand toys and batting around balls (especially on soft, padded mats!).
* Champion snuggler: I've been told I have a super strong bond with my humans and love nothing more than curling up on your lap or snuggling flat against your chest.
* Brave and determined: After a little tumble, I'm always up and trying again in seconds. I've even figured out my own unique ways to climb and interact with my environment!
My Ideal Home:
I am an indoor-only cat, as my balance issues mean I can't safely defend myself outside. I'd thrive in a home that's willing to make a few minor adjustments to keep me safe and comfortable, such as:
* Using soft rugs or padded flooring to help me with traction and soften falls.
* Providing raised food and water bowls to make mealtime easier.
* Keeping me safe from high falls (like off tall furniture or stairs, maybe with a baby gate!).
