**Gentle Giant Alert: Meet Ricky** 💛🐾

Ricky is the kind of dog who’ll quietly tiptoe his way into your heart — and then stay there forever. This 100-pound Bullmastiff may look big, but inside he’s all soft marshmallow. At just around two years old, Ricky has already been through more than we can know. His past is a mystery, but his nervous flinches and cautious eyes tell us he’s known some hard times. Despite that, his spirit remains gentle, goofy, and full of love.

Ricky *adores* being pet — just maybe give him a second before reaching for his face. He warms up quickly with patience and kindness, and once he trusts you, he’s all in: cuddles, kisses, and full-body leaning snuggles. He gets the zoomies out of nowhere (and it’s the best thing you’ll ever see), then settles in for a nap at your feet.

While he’s low-energy overall and easy to care for, Ricky would do best in a home with one or more confident dog friends who can show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. He absolutely loves other dogs and takes comfort in their company.

He has **fantastic leash manners**, is fully house-trained, and has been around children — he loves them! But due to his size, he’d need supervision around very small kids so no one accidentally gets bowled over by a happy Ricky rump wiggle.

Ricky hasn’t been tested with cats yet.

What Ricky needs most is someone with a big heart and a little patience — someone who will help him heal, feel safe, and just be a dog again. In return, he’ll be the most devoted, loving, and goofy best friend you could ask for.
