Meet Bowie – The Sweetest Little Survivor with a Big Heart! 🐾

Bowie is a charming little Maltese with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s great with other animals, respectful older kids, and he’s both potty trained and crate trained—talk about the full package! Bowie lives for his walks and gets adorably excited when he sees his leash or harness come out. He loves to play, cuddle, and show off his goofy, silly side with his favorite toys.

But Bowie isn’t just cute—he’s also resilient. He’s overcome a tough past where he experienced abuse, and because of that, he takes a bit of time to trust new people. Once he does though, he bonds deeply and loves fiercely. His back leg has some limitations from past trauma, so he can't do big staircases or jump up/down from furniture—but don’t worry, he’ll still follow you from room to room with all the love in the world.

In his previous homes, Bowie was labeled as having an “attitude problem,” but what he really needed was structure, guidance, and someone who understood him. Since being with his foster mom (who he adores), he hasn’t shown any of those behaviors. Why? Because she gave him what he needed: clear boundaries, patience, space to decompress, and lots of love.

Bowie is looking for a home that will continue to offer him those same things—a strong, kind leader who will love him unconditionally and maintain the structure that’s helped him blossom. He’s been in foster for a few months now, so transitioning to a new home will be a big change for him. But with the right match, he’ll settle in beautifully and continue being the amazing little guy he is.
