Meet Smarties!! She is currently living with her two sisters (Snickers and Skittles).They lived on a chicken farm before coming to me so they were quite shy and skittish, although, at night, I could hear them playing around which leads me to believe that they didn’t have much human contact. Smarties has been the middle of the bunch. She a typical kitten and loves to play, but she’s also quite independent and does her own thing. She will sleep with her sisters and cuddle up and play with them but she loves to explore and is pretty curious. My 4 y/o daughter loves to carry all the kittens around and Smarties is the one that will sit with her the longest. She was the one that first gravitated towards my daughter. Smarties will come up and cuddle at night (all three of these girls are purring machines!!) but like I said, she’s the more independent one so sometimes she sleeps under my bed, on the cat post or cuddled on the couch. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. As for my dogs, one is big, young and energetic and the other is 16, small and has been around cats her entire life so she couldn’t care less about them. Smarties will come around my older dog and sometimes goes around my energetic dog but usually when he’s sleeping. I think she would be fine in a home with either but just might be a slower introduction with a more energetic dog or a dog that’s not familiar with cats. As for my two cats, one is older and has no problem with the kittens coming around but the younger one tends to stand her ground so smarties doesn’t really go around her much but also reads her signals and will back off so again, could be in a home with either just might take a bit longer with a cat that’s not so interested in kittens or playing or even an older one. Any family would be great to have her as she’s a sweety pie.
