Marysol and Mauricio are a sweet bonded pair who have come a long way since arriving in foster care. They came from a difficult situation where they were living in a home with far too many other cats, leaving them with very little opportunity to develop trust and confidence around people. Despite their rough start, they have been making steady progress every day and are ready to find a family willing to continue that journey with them.
Marysol is the quieter and more cautious of the two. She takes her cues from her “big brother” and has slowly begun to realize that people can be kind, gentle, and predictable. Watching Mauricio interact with humans has helped her discover that pets, treats, and soft voices are nothing to fear. She is still building her confidence and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust is earned over time. The wonderful thing is that she doesn’t have to face that challenge alone. Having Mauricio by her side gives her comfort and reassurance, which is why keeping them together is so important.
Mauricio is an affectionate sweetheart with a gentle soul. While he may be a little reserved when meeting someone new, it doesn’t take long before his loving personality shines through. Once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll happily seek out pets, cuddles, and quiet companionship. He’s perfectly content to relax nearby, keeping you company while you read, watch television, or simply enjoy a peaceful evening at home. He’s the kind of cat who forms deep bonds with his people and rewards patience with unwavering affection.
With his beautiful long coat, Mauricio also requires regular grooming, and fortunately he truly enjoys being brushed. Grooming time has become another way for him to connect with his humans, making it an enjoyable experience for both of you.
