Leonard is a spunky little guy with a heart full of love, but his story is not an easy one. He was brought to a cat rescue in Saskatchewan in a box and he has now made his way safe and sound to BC! Despite his traumatic beginning, Leonard has an incredibly sweet and affectionate personality! He has an adorable meow and makes cooing noises when he wants something. He likes to nap on your lap, snuggle, and be held. He’s got the best purr, and sometimes he snores when he’s having a really good sleep! The second you approach him, he rolls onto his back, showing his belly and asking for attention. Leonard does have swimmers leg syndrome, which means his back legs are weaker, which affects his balance and gait. He manages to get around perfectly fine, and has the cutest little wobble in his walk (really makes him look like he’s got swagger), so having carpet and non-slip surfaces in the home is best for him! This also means he can’t jump very high either (which means he stays off the counters haha). He craves human connection and just genuinely loves people. He's super playful (loves just about any toy, but especially springs and tunnels), very curious, and has a way of making anyone smile with his antics and gentle nature. He can be a bit skittish at first but once he’s warmed up to you and his environment, he’s just a lil’ fur baby that wants to be loved. He can also tolerate wearing a harness, so going on supervised outings might be a future option! Leonard is ready to leave his unfortunate past behind, and find a furever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished.
