Labamba & Missy Elliot — The Dynamic Duo
Labamba and Missy Elliot came into care separately, but it didn’t take long for them to become the best of friends. Now, they’re a bonded pair ready to find their forever home together.
Labamba (aka Bumby) is a big, lovable goofball whose life mission is to make friends with every human and animal he meets. He has absolutely no sense of personal space—he wants to be right beside you (and everyone else!) at all times. Because of his enthusiasm for closeness, he’d do best in a home without pets who are territorial or food-aggressive.
Bumba is a gentle giant who loves chin scratches and snuggles. He can often be found lounging on the sofa with the dogs or perched at the window watching birds. His favorite activities include chasing a laser toy into a cat tunnel with Missy and curling up for a nap afterward.
This boy loves his food, so he can’t be free-fed and should live in a home where other pets aren’t. He’s known to sneak bites when he can, so a few child locks on the cupboards aren’t a bad idea! But his food obsession only adds to his chonky charm.
Missy Elliot is the quieter of the two at first, but she quickly warms up—especially with Labamba by her side. Once she feels safe, she becomes your shadow, following you from room to room and demanding attention with meows and headbutts. Mornings are her favorite time to curl up in your lap while you get ready.
Missy is an athletic little lady who adores chasing wand toys and fuzzy balls (she’s quite the jumper!). When playtime’s over, she enjoys napping in her favorite corrugated cardboard lounger. In the evenings you can find her in the tallest cat tree keeping an eye on everyone. She’s good with small dogs and respectful older kids, and is learning to take cues from our senior cat when she doesn’t want to play. Missy is a fip survivor
