Joey is a 13-pound snuggly love-bug who ended up in foster care at 8 years old, because his owner had unfortunately passed away. He came to BC from Manitoba and is looking for a new family to give him a second chance at life!
Joey is super easygoing. He likes to lay across your chest, lap, or just be in the same room as you.
He loves his wet food, doesn’t care too much for dry food, but loves his treats! His favourite thing to “chat” about is definitely food (living up to his name). Joey likes to be up high, like on top of the fridge or on a cat tree or near windows to be able to watch the birds. He’s a very friendly boy who loves attention, and he can be quite curious as well!
He might take a little bit of time to warm up to a new space, but he eventually relaxes and can co-exist well with other cats who are also cat savvy. He has also lived with dogs before and was fine with them as well. He has been through a lot of changes in the past little while and would like to find a new family he can call home and feel loved.
If you are in need a snuggly companion/best friend, Joey is your guy! His kitten energy is long gone, he’s so calm and he loves to nap! He’s also very polite when he asks you for things, such as when he’s hungry and it’s time for breakfast, he sits next to you or on your chest and gently taps your face to wake you up. He’ll play with a few toys here and there and enjoys catnip and scratching posts. One thing to note is that Joey does not enjoy using an enclosed litter box, it must be open top, he’s a big boy. Don’t let his size fool you though, he’s a gentle giant!
He is very friendly and approaches people to say hi whenever we have company over. He’s seriously the bestest boy!
