Calypso was the first one of the siblings to jump on and climb high up on the cat tower. She loves exploring and seems to be a bit of a loner as she does not mind playing on her own or taking a nap all on her own. That demeanour also carries over to her behaviour towards humans: she will calmly observe you from afar, gently staying just outside your reach, and observe if the human can be trusted. She does not like it if a human suddenly tries to catch her when she does not see them first, but she will always allow someone she trusts to pick her up and pet her. And if she decided that the human can be trusted, then she will find nothing wrong with taking her “alone nap” on the human’s lap! Her calm and royal demeanour sets her apart as a very “special” cat.

Calypso is litter trained, both with clumping litter and in using automatic litter boxes.

Cats: Calypso is slowly being introduced to the resident cat and seems a bit standoffish: she is displaying her typical "I don’t care who you are, but I will observe and decide" demeanour.

Dogs: not tested

Children: playful after the initial "I am staying out of reach and observing” time; not tested with children under 10.
